A recent journey took me to the beautiful island nation of Sri Lanka, surrounded by the endless expanse of the Indian Ocean washing upon its shores this small island nation relies heavily on fishing for substance. Everywhere you look in the coastal villages you see different styles of local fishing vessels some for coastal fishing, usually day trips and others set up as deep-sea fishing vessels that spend months at a time at sea.
This is my experience of beginning to understand Sri Lanka and its offshore fishing fleets and along the way meeting some exceptional people and learning their stories whilst digging into the world's largest Mobula fishery.
The story coming soon. Images are all shot by me, and I have a large assortment of video documentation.
